Telling the CAL Story Through Strategy, Creativity, and Collaboration
The College of Arts & Letters Marketing & Communications Team is dedicated to sharing the stories and successes that define who we are. We provide strategic leadership in marketing and communications across the college and in support of the Dean’s Office, using creative storytelling, compelling visuals, and thoughtful messaging to elevate the work of our students, faculty, alumni, and staff.
With a focus on alignment to both college and university-wide priorities, our team blends initiative-driven projects with collaborative partnerships to create meaningful, mission-driven communications. We work closely with departments, programs, and administrative offices to amplify faculty research, support student recruitment and retention, strengthen alumni and donor engagement, and promote experiential learning opportunities.
We welcome requests from across the college for support, partnership, and consultation. Our areas of expertise include:
- Visual branding and graphic design for both print and digital platforms
- Photography and videography, including event coverage and story-driven content
- Writing, editing, and publishing for news, features, and announcements
- Public and media relations, including faculty expert promotion and story pitching
- Strategic marketing and campaign planning
- Web design and development, including usability and accessibility compliance
- UX-focused website consultation and user training
- Digital storytelling and audience engagement
- Survey creation, data collection, and analysis
We also provide strategic consultation on a wide range of projects—from digital experience and storytelling to campaign development, analytics, media outreach, and communications planning.
