Research and creative activity in the College of Arts & Letters contribute to the college’s profile as a leader in national conversations around the present and future of the arts and humanities. The work done by our faculty pushes their fields forward and brings new methods and insights to undergraduate and graduate learning. The college prioritizes research and creative activity that breaks new ground, whether through its interdisciplinary collaborations, its community engagement, or its development and use of new technologies.
The Office of Research is here to further the success of research and creative activity in the college by:
– Helping new collaborative teams build and sustain working relationships
– Consulting with faculty in seeking public and private funding opportunities
– Supporting the proposal process for both internal and external grant funding
– Making the connections to college and university resources necessary for project execution and dissemination
– Providing oversight for grant-based spending and reporting
Through this work, the Office of Research contributes to a vibrant culture of research and creative activity across the college.
