Designation B – Split UNTF and non-UNTF Duties Work Assignment
In the College of Arts & Letters, in the case where a position has a split UNTF and non-UNTF Duties Work Assignment, the Designation B three year appointment applies to the entire position. For instance, if the position has 20% outreach, 20% service, and 60% teaching, the entire assignment will be eligible for the three year appointment. This does not mean that the UNTF contract covers the non-teaching portion, just that the College of Arts & Letters honors the 3-year appointment for the entire assignment and not a partial assignment.
