Alumni & Friends
The College of Arts and Letters (CAL) at Michigan State University aspires to be a national leader in arts and humanities research and education for the 21st century. This ambition requires resources to attract, recruit, support, and retain the best, most innovative and most diverse faculty, graduate, and undergraduate students. Faculty research, teaching excellence, and enriching student experiences are at the heart of a leading-edge arts and humanities education in which the enduring strengths of the liberal arts—excellent communication, critical thinking, ethical imagination, and global engagement—combine with new and emerging scholarship committed to digital fluency, civic leadership, and innovation to deepen our understanding of the world and address the most complex challenges of our time.
Meet Our Team
Senior Director of Development
I joined MSU College of Arts & Letters in 2017, and am responsible for overseeing the College’s engagement and fundraising efforts. I have the great fortune to engage alumni, parents, and friends in the life of MSU’s College of Arts & Letters. Through the sharing of their talents, their service and their philanthropic support, these individuals ensure that the College can provide all the tools necessary for students to create a meaningful impact in the world.
Associate Director of Development
I joined MSU College of Arts & Letters in June of 2022 as the Associate Director of Development. In my role I assist alumni and friends who want their generosity to make a difference in the world through Michigan State University students, programs, and projects. I look forward to partnering with our supporters to continue providing educational opportunities for generations of Spartans.
Becky Ten Brink
Assistant Director of Development
I have been with MSU since 2019 and joined the team at MSU College of Arts & Letters fall of 2020 as the Assistant Director of Development. With a Bachelors in Art from Calvin College and a Masters in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University I am a passionate advocate for the value of a liberal arts education. I look forward to continuing to collaborate with the alumni, parents, and friends of the College of Arts & Letters by exploring the meaningful ways they can engage and partner with MSU and the College in support of the land-grant mission of the University.
I joined MSU in 2019 and I provide administrative support to the College of Arts & Letters Development Officers. My previous experience in community empowerment through entrepreneurship has lead me to discovering a passion for stewardship and building connections. I’m excited to continue to learn more about our alumni and friends.
I graduated from Michigan State University in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and joined the College of Arts and Letters as a full-time staff member shortly after. I am responsible for the planning and execution of our college events as well as making memorable connections with our alumni.
