Contacting Your Class
The Registrar maintains a registrar’s instructor systems page you can use to contact your class and for grading and other tasks. You can often access your class list and the email tool there before your D2L access is enabled. If you are having trouble seeing your course in D2L, please contact your department or Academic Operations (contact info below).
Teaching Tools & Support
MSU provides many teaching tools. Most of these tools are listed on the MSU A-Z Teaching Tools list, but we have highlighted a few essential tools below.
D2L Brightspace
D2L is MSU’s centrally supported learning management system.
Kaltura Mediaspace
Mediaspace is MSU’s streaming media server for uploading and streaming videos for course use.
MS365 Tools Suite
MSU provides access to the MS365 suite of tools, including the full MS Office suite and several other tools for teaching and learning, such as MS Teams, Flipgrid, and MS Bookings.
Getting Further Help
If you need further help and are unsure where to start, the Office Operations support for your department is a great place to start. If you are unsure who that person is, your department chair or colleagues can point you in the right direction.
For issues related to teaching, such as your class schedule, academic systems access, etc., contact Leann Dalimonte (dalimon8@msu.edu) or Laura Borchgrevink (borchgre2@msu.edu) on the Academic Operations team.
