Michigan State University’s 26th annual University Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum (UURAF) will take place Friday, April 12, both online and in person at the Breslin Student Events Center. This hybrid event will feature research projects and creativity from hundreds of undergraduate students at MSU, including many students from the College of Arts & Letters.
UURAF provides MSU undergraduate students with an opportunity to share their scholarship and creative activity with faculty, staff, peers, and external audiences. Student participants gain experience in presenting their research and answering questions about their work from audience members and guests while receiving constructive feedback from judges. The event will include virtual presentations that will be hosted on Symposium by ForagerOne.
An awards ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, April 17, in the MSUFCU Club on the fourth floor of Spartan Stadium. One first-place award of $100 will be given in each of the 37 presentation categories. First-place award recipients are then eligible to submit their work for consideration for one of the two grand prizes awards of $500 each. One grand prize will be awarded in the arts, humanities, and social sciences related categories and the other in the science, engineering, and mathematics related categories.
Both the UURAF presentations and awards ceremony are free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. UURAF is co-sponsored by the Office of the Associate Provost for Undergraduate Education and the Honors College.
