Episode five of the Liberal Arts Endeavor Podcast is now live! Our host, Christopher P. Long, Dean of the College of Arts & Letters, met with Christina Boyles, Assistant Professor of Digital Humanities, to discuss her work on the Maria Memory Bank Project.
Boyles’ research explores the relationship between disaster, social justice, and the environment. She is the Director of the Maria Memory Bank, a project that works with community organizations across Puerto Rico and the Caribbean to collect and preserve stories about Hurricane Maria.
Boyles also is the co-founder of SurvDH, a community that explores the intersections between surveillance and the humanities. Her published work appears in Digital Humanities Quarterly, Bodies of Information: Feminist Debates in the Digital Humanities, American Quarterly, Studies in American Indian Literatures, and more.
