I am currently the Events Manager at Michigan Youth Arts, a statewide arts education organization in metro Detroit. My main responsibilities include handling the logistics of the Michigan Youth Arts Festival as well as the Arts Expo College Fair. In addition, I assist with two grant programs that allow arts educators to apply for funds for arts equipment and supplies as well as transportation funds for arts- and culture-related field trips.Keep your mind open when it comes to plans after graduation. As an Acting major at MSU, I learned the importance of hard work, determination, and good communication skills in any work setting. I also was able to take advantage of the Arts & Cultural Management classes that were in their infancy my senior year. Little did I know I would go down that path as a career!

Keep your mind open when it comes to plans after graduation. Things could change in an instant and work out for the best. My current position allows me to have a fulfilling career alongside acting in some wonderful theaters
in Detroit, which I didn’t think would be possible!
