Graduating Senior on Career Path that Combines Both Food Science and French Degrees

Jaden Loy, who is graduating from Michigan State University in Spring 2025 with a B.S. in Food Science and a B.A. in French, will begin the next chapter of his educational journey in Europe, following a path that fuses both his undergraduate degrees. Loy was selected as one of only five students nationwide for the Lactalis Master's Program in Food Engineering at the L’École Supérieure des Agricultures (ESA) in Angers, France.

MSU Undergraduate Art Exhibit at (SCENE) Metrospace Through April 24

The 2025 Undergraduate Exhibition presented by the Department of Art, Art History, and Design (AAHD) at Michigan State University features the work on 41 students created in AAHD courses during the past year. This juried exhibition runs through Thursday, April 24, at (SCENE) Metrospace, 110 Charles Street, East Lansing, Michigan. Gallery hours are noon-5 p.m. Thursday-Sunday. An exhibition reception is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 11.

MSU Theatre Presents ‘Inching Towards Yeolha,’ the Final Production of 2024-25 Season

“Inching Towards Yeolha,” the final production of the 2024-25 season of the Michigan State University Department of Theatre, offers a thought-provoking look at how one individual’s seemingly small rebellion can unveil the complexities of an entire community's way of life. It is a symbolic exploration of freedom, identity, and the cost of challenging deeply rooted customs. This dark, absurd comedy will be presented April 11-19 at the Pasant Theatre in the Wharton Center for Performing Arts.

Michigan State University’s 27th annual University Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum (UURAF) will take place Friday, April 11, both in person at MSU’s Breslin Student Events Center and online hosted on Symposium by ForagerOne. This hybrid event will feature research projects and creativity from hundreds of undergraduate students at MSU, including many students from the College of Arts & Letters.

Shawn Loewen, Professor in the Department of Linguistics, Languages, and Cultures at Michigan State University, received a 2025 PROSE Award from the Association of American Publishers (AAP) for his co-authored textbook, A Practical Guide to Second Language Teaching and Learning. The 2025 PROSE Awards recognize the very best professional and scholarly works published in 2024 in the United States in five areas of excellence.
