I oversee preservation easements held by the National Trust for Historic Preservation on more than 100 properties throughout the United States. These easements protect historic properties so they are preserved in perpetuity.

As an Art History major, I gained essential experience in writing and critical analysis. Working in the historic preservation field requires being able to convey a compelling argument, either to save a historic place or to explain complex historic preservation methods. I learned valuable communication skills in my Art History coursework and continue to refine them today. Take a wide variety of coursework so you can be fluent in technology, architecture, design, history, and political advocacy.
