I assist the Co-President of Art + Commerce. I manage his calendar and travel as well as assist with editorial and commercial photo shoot production for the artists he represents, such as legendary fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier. I recently started managing projects for illustrator Mats Gustafson, who is working on a book with Dior.

Build a strong network of people … they are your greatest resource and ally.

Interdisciplinary Humanities allowed me to create my own major based on
my interests. My three cores were art history, apparel and textile design, and studio art. This allowed me to develop a well-rounded, but focused, education of the fashion and art worlds, which prepared me well to work for a company that explicitly combines fashion and art.

Be true to yourself. This was the most important part of my education, especially when you constantly feel the pressure to go into a major that guarantees a job and lots of money. You have to stick to your guns and stay focused on where you want to be. I also think it’s really important to build a strong network of people (professors specifically) in the fields you’re interested in – they are your greatest resource and ally.
