The College of Arts & Letters will sponsor its inaugural week-long event celebrating the vibrant arts scene on campus September 12–18, 2021. This date was chosen to coincide with National Arts in Education Week, where educators join together “in communities across the country to tell the story of the impact of the transformative power of the arts in education.”[1] We hope to use this event to advocate for the importance of the arts at MSU.
The Arts Launch has three primary audiences and goals.
- MSU Students—especially first-year students—to introduce them to a variety of arts on campus.
- Community—especially high school students—to showcase many of the artistic opportunities and create synergistic recruiting or artistic relationships.
- Alumni—especially arts-focused alumni—who may return to campus to engage with current MSU students.
