The College of Arts & Letters recognized its 2024 Faculty Award winners for their outstanding leadership, teaching, innovation, and community engagement as well as the impact they have made to enhance curriculum and student experiences.
On October 14, 2020 MSU College of Arts & Letters alumni heard from Senta Goertler, Associate Professor of German and Second Language Studies, regarding the newest developments in education abroad. Audiences also received a sneak peek at Prof. Goertler’s books, heard about the impact of participating in education abroad programs, talked about 60 years of the Academic Year in Freiburg program, and discussed nearly 50 years of the Summer in Mayen program.
For more than 50 years, students from Michigan State University have had the opportunity to spend a year abroad studying at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität in Freiburg, Germany, where they are fully immersed in German language and culture.
