This year’s production, titled Carn-Evil, will transform the three-story Auditorium into a scary carnival-theme atmosphere with student actors giving visitors a fright at every turn. The production is being led by Rachel Aho, a junior BFA Design major with a focus in lighting design, and Shelby Eppich, a junior BFA Stage Management major with a focus in neurodiverse theatre.
“It is exciting to see that this student entrepreneurial initiative is celebrating its 10th year,” said Kirk Domer, Department of Theatre Chair. “This important student-led fundraiser helps to support student travel to conferences and performance showcases throughout the United States, unique creative initiatives, and other special events that help shape each Theatre Spartan’s academic career. Experiential learning at its finest.”
A full walk-through will take about 15 minutes, and for those who don’t like a fright, glow sticks will be provided to serve as an indicator to the actors to make the experience less scary than normal.
