“After four challenging years of Arabic classes, it is an honor to see my hard work rewarded through the Outstanding Graduating Senior Award,” he said. “But this recognition is also a testament to the amazing people within MSU’s Arabic Program.”
The support Castanier found within the Arabic Program not only helped him navigate the challenges of learning a new language it also shaped the way he approached his studies and deepened his engagement with the program.
“Coming into MSU not knowing any Arabic, beginning language classes were very daunting to me,” he said. “However, from the very first class, my professors and classmates established a welcoming environment that facilitated my Arabic learning.”
