In March 2025, Michigan State University launched an ambitious $4 billion multiyear comprehensive fundraising campaign to accelerate discoveries that address society’s greatest challenges and prepare Spartans to advance impact for the common good using their uncommon will.

The Uncommon Will, Far Better World campaign will equip Spartans with the resources, experiences and knowledge to address the world’s greatest challenges, solidify MSU as a talent activator for the state of Michigan and beyond, and create a thriving society.

College Giving Priorities & Goals

The College of Arts & Letters aims to address significant challenges facing students and faculty by equipping changemakers with creativity and critical thinking to tackle complex global issues such as environmental sustainability, social equity, economic development, and public health.

Our college goal is to raise $55 million between now and 2032.

Enhancing the Student Experience Through Innovative Programs

Creative expression thrives in spaces that are designed for exploration, collaboration, and innovation. Your gift helps imagine new spaces and  transform facilities like Kresge Art Center and the MSU Auditorium. This ensures our students and faculty have the environments they need to imagine  and boldly create meaningful work.

Your support helps build the future of arts education by bringing our physical spaces in line with our creative vision.

Your support helps fund:

  • Renovations to Kresge Art Center for next-generation art-making.
  • Upgrades to Fairchild Theatre in the MSU Auditorium supporting performance and accessibility spaces.
  • Technology additions to spaces for digital storytelling and design innovations.
  • Additions to and the preservation of public art, including the Charles Pollock murals in the MSU Auditorium.
